Sayur Asem is a kind of vegetable dish is typical of Indonesia. There are many local variations such as ayur asam Jakarta (a variation of the Betawi in Jakarta), Sayur asem kangkung (a variation that uses kale), sayur asam ikan asin.
The materials commonly used are peanuts, young jackfruit, melinjo, star fruit vegetables, squash, string beans, and tamarind. Often also used corn in this dish.
Taste sweet and sour dish that is very refreshing and perfect if combined with other dry toppings such as fried fish and fresh vegetables. Often these dishes are also served with sambal.
This dish is still resemble tom yam, which is the cuisine of Thailand.
RECIPE:
Material I:
75 g green beans, cut into 2 cm
75 g squash, diced
1 pc corn, cut round and cut into 2 parts
50 ounces of peanut skin, wash
75 g melinjo
50 g leaves melinjo
75 g young jackfruit, cut into match
3 pcs red chili pepper, slivered 2 parts and cut into 2
3 cm galangal, crushed
3 bay leaves
75 g young sour, Kerik, crushed
1000 ml of water
5 tablespoons granulated sugar
3 teaspoon salt
Materials II (Puree):
7 pcs onion
3 cloves garlic
3 pcs red chili
50 g peanuts
Materials III (soak and mix):
25 grams tamarind
100 ml hot water
How to Make:
1.Boil water along with ginger, bay leaves, a young sour, salt, sugar, and II ingredients to boil.
2.Enter all ingredients, cook until quite mature.
3.Enter III materials (water only), and cook until cooked.
